‘Just do it!’: Wholesome cat community helps feline father conquer his fear of taking his cats for stroller rides by showing him their purrfectly cute cats in their comfy carriages

Happy Sunday, feline fam. We get a lot of judgment as cat pawrents - that we're anti-social (okay, that might be true) and that we prefurr the company of our cats over people (that might also be true). No, but for real, people think we're weird just for having cats. They don't have to know anything else about us, and they can make some assumptions just by us loving the company of cats. Well, to those people, we say, "Yeah, we're cat people, and we're proud of it!"

All of those people can go mind their own business, we're going to do what makes us happy, and if that means taking our cats around the neighborhood in stroller rides, then so be it! We know it's hard not to care about the opinions of others, but the only opinion that matters to us is our cats' opinions, so we'll go with what they want. That's what we would say to the feline father in this post, who, thanks to the wholesome cat community, conquered his fear of taking his cats for stroller rides by seeing how many pawrents do the same.     How to get over the embarrassment of taking my cats out in a stroller??

    I feel bad that my kittens don't get to experience the outside world and they're both currently too crazy for harness training I would love to try taking them out in a stroller but I live on a close knit estate and I really worry that the neighbours will

    The embarrassment goes away the first time someone loses their sh (in a positive way) at seeing a stroller cat. It's practically a public service to take a cat out in a stroller.

I take them on walks in my neighborhood, to the parks, and even outdoor restaurants (that allow pets on the patio) and if I were to estimate, they've had over 200 outings overall since. Never

    experienced any judgment or negative comments, everyone who saw them (especially kids lol) would go "awwwwww they're so cute", or ask if they could pet them, or ask for a picture with them lol. Own it and have fun with it! Nothing to be embarrassed about at all here - it's so much better than letting your cats roam outside and get hurt or killed. Most people understand it and

    praise us for keeping our kitties safe yet mentally stimulated. We even dress them up when it's chilly outside and people cannot contain their awwws when they see them in their cute little sweaters hahaha

  • Purrsonally, whenever we see cats in strollers, we are instantly love-struck. These pawrents care so much about their kitties that they do so much for their brains and let them experience the world in a safe, entertaining way. We just think it's pawsitively great!

    Own it and just do it! I had to keep Loki generally fastened in and roof closed or he'd be jumping out. I also used to love taking him out in his hi viz Police cat jacket.

    We dont get embarrassed. Our 19 year old cat gets stopped often. That's a cat! Look! It's usually astonishment.

  • We have never once been looked at in a funny way for taking our cat on a stroller ride. If anything, people go out of their way to say how ameowzing they think it is. They always want to pet him, too. It's a win-win scenario!
